She heads the Human Resource function for Aditya Birla Finance Company and the lending and wealth management businesses of Aditya Birla Capital Limited. Along with this, she also manages the Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) mandate of brand Aditya Birla Capital, across all its businesses and subsidiaries comprising of 22,000 employees. Sujatha’s rich career as a HR professional and management consultant extends over 20 years in different industries.
Prior to joining Aditya Birla Group, she has worked with Procter & Gamble, ITC, SSI Technologies, and Fortis Healthcare. She has partnered with businesses to address their strategic needs, ensuring functional capability building and nurturing teams while driving high degree of functional proficiencies, employee productivity and performance deliveries. She has also been instrumental in aligning business units within a group structure, articulating road maps for Organization Development, Talent Assessment, Succession Planning and Policy formulations. She has extensive experience in Talent Management and Employee Engagement and continues to drive several strategic initiatives in this space.
A certified MBTI practitioner, Sujatha holds a degree in Industrial Relations and a Masters in applied Psychology with a PHD in Psychology. She has received awards and accolades for her outstanding work in HR and Learning & Development. As the Head of D&I across Aditya Birla Capital, she is focused on defining, building, and strengthening the needed framework and practices. She also oversees hiring and talent management practices to ensure success and sustenance of this mandate.
Based on her rich and diverse experience, Sujatha continues to make several contributions as a thought leader and shares regular insights on Social Media channels such as LinkedIn and Twitter. She is also a regular speaker in various forums across India.
Sujatha is an avid marathoner, ultra-runner, gardener, environment conservationist, wellness and sustainability advocate. Is very passionate about gaining leadership cues from both ancient texts and contemporary literature and adapting them to the current workplace.
